David Limbach was 4-for-4, with a pair of doubles, a run scored and four RBI for the Wildcats in a road win at Riverview. Jackson Perkins pitched five innings, allowing two runs and striking out 11. The Wildcats put up six runs in the second inning, before Tyson Sutton’s two-run home run pushed the game well out of reach. For Riverview, John Smith had a two-run home run in the first inning.

Brandon Dessi was 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI as the Gryphons started off a four-game week with a shutout win. Kohl Roberts (two runs), Chase Conville (run, two RBI) and Chase Jackson (three runs) each had two hits, while Grayson Turner earned the win, and Thomas Bly picked up a three-inning save.

The Crusaders tallied 17 hits to put away Carrollwood Day in five innings. Tyler Whitfield (3-for-4) started the game with a triple and scored on a single from Rolando Jimenez and Tampa Catholic was off from there. Jimenez would add a three-run homer in the fifth, as Andrew Salzman (three runs), Brian Canasi (triple, two RBI) and MJ Budnick (double, four runs, RBI) each had two hits. Danny Lazaro pitched four scoreless, striking out five, and allowed just two hits.

Freedom 1 – 11 innings

Christopher Morgan’s seventh-inning single tied things at one a piece, and his second RBI single coming in the 11th provided the needed run for Alonso to win at Freedom on Monday. Angel Camargo earned the win, pitching two innings of relief, while Hector Montilla pitched four innings and struck out eight, allowing an unearned run in the first. Freedom got a quality start from Kerry Wise, who pitched four scoreless. Joey Wey took the loss despite pitching four strong innings, allowing one run on one hit and striking out four.

Freshman Julius Pfau was 2-for-3 with two RBI, senior Jonathan Bruno had a pair of hits and an RBI, and sophomore James Hankerson doubled and had an RBI in the win.
