813Preps 2021 Most Valuable Player: Sean Hermann, RHP, Durant – Hermann led the county by more than 40 strikeouts, finishing with 135, ranking him in the Top 10 in the nation according to MaxPreps.com. The Cougars senior pitched four complete-games, going at least seven innings six times – including 7 1/3 scoreless innings in the state semifinal game against Port Orange Spruce Creek, where he struck out nine hitters. Hermann had six double-digit strikeout games, and also came in to pick up three saves, while providing leadership for his team during games he didn’t even step on the field. The University of South Florida signee issued just 13 walk-in 78-plus innings, allowing just four earned runs, and was named the Florida Dairy Farmer’s Class 7A Player of the Year.
