Senior Donovan Garcia had a two-run single and a two-run double, while Adam Fisher went 3-for-4 with a run scored for Steinbrenner as the Warriors picked up a district win on the road at Palm Harbor. Tayden Hall singled in what would be the deciding run, and Ryan Lowder had an RBI double. Cameron Kenny worked four innings on the mound to earn the win, and Cameron Lee tossed 1 1/3 of relief to notch the save.

The Lancers made three hits hold up to top Parrish Community on Thursday. Julian Montes tossed a complete game for Cambridge Christian, allowing one run on three hits and striking out five.

Brooks DeBartolo 6, Carrollwood Day 4

Ryan Martin doubled in the eighth and Stephaune Haylock walked it off for Brooks DeBartolo with a two-run home run for an extra-inning win. Haylock was 3-for-4 on the night, while JJ Barreto also homered and drove in four runs. Freshman JD Valdes struck out five in 3 1/3 innings of relief to pick up the win. Carrollwood Day scored four runs in the fifth as senior Joshua Jackson doubled in a pair and McIntosh Webber hit a two-run home run to center.

Leto freshman Bryan Rivera tossed four shutout innings, allowing one East Bay hit and striking out three en route to his third win of the season. Rivera helped his cause at the plate with three RBI on one hit and a sac fly, while Mikey Camacho had a pair of doubles, two runs and two RBI. Shabbaz Brumley (run, RBI) and Coltin Pizzio (two runs) each had two hits.

Ruben Espinal doubled in a pair in the Cowboys three-run fifth, and added a bases loaded walk in the five-run sixth as Gaither topped King. Willie Jackson and Jacob Choe had RBI hits for the Cowboys, while Alex Smith tossed 3 1/3 innings of relief to earn the win. King got hits and runs scored by Quentin Meadows and Elijah Dukes.

Grady Maguire’s RBI double, followed by RBI singles by Steven Hotinski and Frank Micallef got the night started as Wharton crushed Plant to survive as the lone undefeated team in Class 7A-District 7 play. Maguire would finish the game 4-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles and scored four times; Hotinski scored twice and drove in three in his three-hit night; Braeden Hernandez doubled and had three RBI as well.

Tyler Dowdy struck out four of the six batter he faced and earned the win as the Raiders jumped out in a big way early. Moved into the leadoff spot, DeMario Williams singled to start the game and scored on a Cole Cothren RBI double – one of his three hits and three RBI in the win. Williams had a double, three runs scored, two RBI and two stolen bases. Chris Rodriguez and Jarod Wingo each chipped in two RBI.
