Brayden Moyer drove in a pair and Edrick Rijos singled in one as the Chamberlain scored four runs in the eighth inning and the Chiefs claimed its first on-field win in two seasons. Moyer also earned the win in relief allowing one earned run and striking out four in two innings of work. For Spoto, Victor Diaz had a double and scored twice, while Sean Weir was 3-for-4 with a run scored in the loss.

Ricardo Garcia went 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Tigers, and Remer McIntyre doubled and scored twice in the loss.

Plant City won out in a pitchers duel as senior Jarod Wingo struck out 16 in a complete game effort. Wingo also helped out his cause with and RBI, while Chris Rodriguez was 2-for-3 with a run scored in the Raiders win. For Alonso Sam Drumheller pitched three shutout innings and struck out four.

Newsome 5, Sickles 1 (nine innings) 

Newsome broke open an extra-inning stalemate with four runs in the ninth inning, as a two-run error, a passed ball and a Zach DeVito RBI hit earned the Wolves the win. DeVito who started the game on the mound pitched 4 2/3 innings striking out five, while his only blemish was a solo home run by Trey Bacon. On the other side, Gryphons senior Chase Centala also tossed 4 2/3 innings allowing just two hits and striking out eight in a no-decision. For Newsome, Sawyer Smith’s RBI double in the seventh forced extra frames and he also scored in the final inning.

For Tigers pitchers Justin Clark (win, and also had an “immaculate” inning), Alex Bryant, Tripp Russo and Kristopher Sosnowski combined for the shutout, as a Titus Woods-Ayers double would be the only Yellow Jackets hit of the night. Ten Tigers batters recorded a hit in the win included three from Jalen Niles, who had a double, triple, three runs and two RBI in the win.
